Week 41/35

This week has been a lot of miles but whatever it was good.

April 18, 2017: We were on exchanges and Elder Prescott and I were on bike which was kinda fun. We had a lesson with one of their investigators which was interesting. Then we had service which was good before we closed the day.

Spiritual: While you might not always be given an easy road you will still be blessed.

April 19, 2017: We had District meeting and Interviews which were really good. After that we went tracting and ran into the STLs which was good but kinda odd. Then we had a kinda lesson before we went and visited a recent convert who we had a lesson with.

Spiritual: Talking with your leaders can bring great blessings 

April 20, 2017: We helped the Ashcroft Elders with service which was good. Then we went out to Windsor to get commissary for people in the Zone. Then we tried some people. In Windsor and other outlying areas which was good. Then we tried potentials to limited success.

Spiritual: While you might not have success you can always learn something.

April 21, 2017: We did weekly planning which was good before we headed out to Windsor for a lesson with the APs which did not happen. Then we went to sports night which was good but had no investigators.

Spiritual: While lessons do not always happen they sometimes will be a blessing in disguise.

April 22, 2017: We did a lot of potential contacting to some success. That was nice. Then we went and rescued the Ashcroft Elders like normal but it was alright. Then we tried some people but no one wanted to talk with us.

Spiritual: While you may have success at the beginning but none at the end do not get discouraged.

April 23, 2017: We had Branch Council which was good. Then we were in a trio with Elder Prescott for a few hours which was fun. Then we tried some potentials and had a decent amount of success which was nice. Then we had a lesson which was odd but good.

Spiritual: Keeping the Sabbath brings blessings.

Good week/ Good experiences

This week was a really good week and full of new experiences so I will get right in.

April 11, 2017: Because the Zone Leaders were on exchanges with the biking Elders in our Zone they did not do much work which made it hard for us to do studies as they are really loud, 9 more days then we move thank goodness. We helped Hermano B with his house in Kersey which was good. In he evening we were able to teach a lesson to the parents of another investigator and they seemed receptive.

Spiritual: While you might not be able to do everything you want the sacrifice will bring blessings.

April 12, 2017: We had Zone Conference which was amazing. Some of the highlights were learning the new mission song, the final testimonies of some of the missionaries, and President Ms training on burying your weapons of rebellion or whatever is keeping you from being the most consecrated missionary you can be. A funny thing that happened at the meeting is the Vehicle Coordinator said that Totes are no longer allowed to be moved from area to area, most missionaries have there two suitcases and a tote, which has made everyone that I live with mad because they all have two suitcases full, a tote full of stuff, there carry on full of stuff and so they will have no room for most of the stuff when they are transferred. This is why I had already decided early on that I would only have enough stuff that I would be able to take everything home today if I was emergency sent home 2 Suitcases, 1 Carry on, and a personal bag. After Zone Conference we had a lesson with Carlos H a recent convert and his family who are not yet members.

Our mission is changing dynamics with us gaining an increased 33% more sisters so it will be almost 50 50 or maybe more sisters soon

Spiritual: The words of your Leaders are always a blessing.

April 13, 2017: We helped Hermano B with his house in Kersey again which was good. Then we filled the day with trying a bunch of people to no real success. After dinner I did the baptismal interviews for four of the people that Centennial had baptized this Saturday. They were really cool and it was a great experience. 

Spiritual: Doing hard things brings blessings.

April 14, 2017: We had GRC which was a lot of fun, the Hermanas also came this time which was cool. Then we did planning which was good as well. Then I did the last three interviews for the family that Centennial had which were also amazing.

Spiritual: Service is always fun.with the Branch Primary Easter activity which took up most of the day. Then we tried two families with a member of the Branch and were able to talk a bit with the second and none with the first which was alright we suppose.

Spiritual: Members at lessons are always a huge blessing.

April 16, 2017: We had church where we did not help with the Sacrament which was odd. After church we did studies before we went to the H family's home for a Easter Fiesta which was a lot of fun. After that we tried a few people to no success but perhaps it was for the best.

Spiritual: The sacrament should be the best part of our week.

April 15, 2017: We did some contacting to no avail. Then we went and helped 

Week 3 of Transfer 6

This week has been a good week overall but has seemed long due to one meeting being moved up a day.

April 4, 2017: We had district meeting (a day early because the Zone Leaders could not do it the next day) which was really good. We had four extra people there which was nice as they gave insights I do not normally hear. After District meeting we did finding which was slightly successful. Then we had dinner in Windsor and that was fun.

Spiritual: Having different people around you makes life more interesting.

April 5, 2017: We went and helped a member with his house he is putting up for rent soon which was good. Then we did finding which was really good but not super successful.

Spiritual: Doing service always lifts the soul.

April 6, 2017: We did service at ARC which was alright. Then we did finding and had a bit of success including finding a potential family which speaks English and Spanish which will be interesting. 

Spiritual: Keep trying to find people and you will eventually see success.

April 7, 2017: We again did service at ARC before we did planning which took up much of the day. After planning we had sports night which finished the day.

Spiritual: Planning is important en though often time consuming.

April 8, 2017: We were on exchanges with the Zone Leaders which was good. Elder M and I managed to pass out 16 Books of Mormon and 4 El Libro de Mormon. That was neat. We also had a chance to find some people who seem very interested so we will see how that goes.

Spiritual: Exchanges can be able to lift your eyes and teach you a great deal.

April 9, 2017: We had church which was spectacular as normal. After church we had Correlation meeting which was awesome as well. We then gave one of the C Sisters a blessing which was neat. Then we went and tried a bunch of people to mostly no success. We got a chance to talk with three people though that all seem interested which will be good hopefully.

Spiritual: While God will bless you with times of down you can always know he is around.

April 10, 2017: Today aside from Shopping we will be creating fliers for Sports night which should be good.

Sports night is just an activity the Branch is doing to try to bring Investigators to the church to play sports like Volleyball, Soccer, Basketball, etc in the Gym which is fun.

week 38/32

This week was a bit of a pain but in the end it was all worth it.

March 28, 2017: We had a lesson with a less active recent convert named Carlos which was good. He kept going off topic but whatever. Then we took our car into the dealership because the Key Fob was not working. After two hours we left the car there and spent the rest of the day phone contacting.

Spiritual: While people might not always remain focused they still deserve the chance to learn.

March 29, 2017: We had Zone meeting which was really good. It was focused on becoming more obedient. After Zone meeting we did studies. Then we had dinner before being dropped off at a trailer park which we tracted

for a bit before we walked up to the church to be picked up.

Spiritual: Blessings require hard work before you see them.

March 30, 2017: We helped a member with cleaning out his house that he is putting up for rent soon. Then we were supposed to have a lesson but it fell through. Following that we walked up to the Stake center which was good. Exposing people to see missionaries out walking around. Then we went and did studies before dinner. After dinner we went and visited a less active family which was good before we started walking home.

Spiritual: Work always is needed before you see blessings.

March 31, 2017: We finally got our car back which was a relief. But being Friday we did not do much aside from planning. After dinner we went to the sports night which was fun.

Spiritual: Be grateful for your blessings.

April 1, 2017: We had General Conference which was amazing my favorite talks were those given by President Nelson, Elder Bednar, and Elder Hales. Conference took up most of the day so we did not do much else.

Spiritual: Watch the Conference talks they are literally the words of God.

April 2, 2017: We had General Conference again which was also awesome, my favorite talks being those given by President Monson and Elder Grow. After each session we were asked to give blessings which was neat. We also talked with a few investigators and they all seemed super interested which was a great blessing. 

Spiritual: Blessings come in God's time not ours.
