Half way thru this transfer

This week has been short but fast.

May 17, 2017: We did a small bit of tracting after we did service. Then we had a lesson with a recent convert about the priesthood. That was really good. Aside from that that we did not do too much.

Spiritual: The priesthood is very important and a huge blessing 

May 18, 2017: We had district meeting which was good. Then we got snowed in which was not the most effective. Then once it cleared a bit we played taxi for the Ashcroft Elders which was good as well.

Spiritual: Time to do studies is always really good.

May 19, 2017: We spent much of the day doing weekly planning which was good. Then we had an interesting lesson with a less active. Then we went and again played taxi for The Ashcroft Elders

Spiritual: planning  is always good.

May 20, 2017: We went and visited a lot of people which was good. We had a very good lesson with Lily which was cool. We encouraged her to continue reading the Book Of Mormon which will help her we know.

Spiritual: Sharing what you know brings joy.

May 21, 2017: We had church which is always good. Then we had Correlation meeting which was also pretty good. Following that we tried some potentials to limited success but it was alright.

Spiritual: Reporting brings more motivation

I asked him why they played taxi to the Ashcroft Elders so much and he said they are on bikes and the bikes break down a lot. He also said they have a washer and dryer at their apartment(he does not) and it saves them about 40 dollars a month if they go to the laundry mat.

Week 46/40

This week was mostly filled with service and not much else aside from that but it was still pretty good.

May 23,2017: We spent a lot of time driving, we dropped our car off at the mission office at 10 and were able to take a mission van back but were told our car would be fixed by 3. So we went and did studies and the like but did not have much time before needing to be back in Windsor. After getting our car back we did not do too much as dinner took a long time.

Spiritual: Having new things for a bit is always nice.

May 24, 2017: We had District Meeting which was fun and good. Following that we went to ARC for service which was good but super slow. Then we did a little bit of finding to no real success which was okay. Then I went and did two baptismal interviews for the Centennial Sisters which was fun.

Spiritual: Meeting new people is always interesting.

May 25, 2017: We did service for most of the day. Then Elder M went to the dentist which was long and slow. Then we went to try people to no success before we went and helped Ashcroft as their bike had been wrecked which was weird.

Spiritual: Service is always fun.

May 26, 2017: We started with GRC which was okay. Then we took Elder S to Urgent Care because of President's wanting him to after his bike accident the previous day. Then we went and mowed a member and a investigators lawn which was good, luckily my allergies did not kick in. Then we went to sports night which was fun as well.

Spiritual: Things you learn will continue with you for a long time.

May 27, 2017: We helped at the Humane Society before going and Helping a family in the branch again. That took up most of the day. Then we went and started weekly planning which was good.

Spiritual: Service always is a blessing.

May 28, 2017: We had church which was great before Correlation meeting which also was good. Then we did weekly planning which took up basically the rest of the day other than dinner which was crazy long.

Spiritual: The Sacrament is an awesome blessing we have each week.

Fort Collins Temple Trip # 2

So great to be able to talk to Elder Patterson on Mother's Day he looked and sounded great. His Spanish is coming along great although he said his companion does not enjoy speaking Spanish when he does not have to. We told him to talk to him in Spanish anyway. He is enjoying his area and really likes his Mission President and wife.

This Past week has been interesting but not a great deal has taken place but that will be seen.

May 9, 2017: We did quite a bit of tracting which was good. We managed to come across a lady by the name of Lily who seemed kinda interested, her husband is unemployed so we gave her the number of the Branch Self Reliance Services representative so hopefully he be able to help the family. Funny thing is when we found them her dog, a mid sized mop came and attacked me which was interesting.

Spiritual: Talking with everyone you see is difficult but is good in the long run.

May 10, 2017: We did not do as much as Tuesday but we did a lot of potential contacting which was alright. We also had District Meeting which was good as normal. We were told new standards which are going to be more enforced which none of which are difficult.

Spiritual: Rules are for the benefit of all.

May 11,2017: We accidentally did four hours of service at a ranch where we do service but it was fun and good aside from getting a sun burn on just one arm which was odd.

Spiritual: Service is always good and fun.

May 12, 2017: We started with service which was fun as always. Following that we started doing weekly planning before the Ashcroft Elders asked us to help them with a service project which was good. Then we went around and invited basically all of our investigators to to the branch fiesta the following day.

Spiritual: Helping others always brings joy.

May 13, 2017: We did weekly planning and Studies for the first half of the day and then the second half of the day we spent at the branch fiesta which had 14 investigators there which was good. The Former Elder Elijah Bingham a terrific missionary from what I have been told came to the fiesta which was cool to meet him and his family.

Spiritual: Activities can bring the spirit.

May 14, 2017: We had church which was great, Elder P

was on Temporary exchanges with us and spent almost an hour talking with Elder Bingham which was cool. Then we had Correlation meeting before we had the opportunity to Skype home which was awesome to see family even over video communication, two more which is so odd.

Spiritual: Family is the most important thing in creation.

May 15, 2017: We did not do much on the point of tracting or finding for that matter as the first 3/4 of the day was service. Then we went to a potential's home to share a short message which was really good. Then we returned to our apartment to get the extra sleep in preparation for the temple trip.

Spiritual: Service is a way to be more like the savior.

May 16, 2017: Today We get to go to the temple which is awesome. Then we will probably just do normal P day stuff.

Spiritual: The temple truly is the house of God. He said later that they had eaten lunch at Cafe Rio in Fort Collins which is one of our family favorites and he had not eaten their since he left on his mission.

First week of Transfer # 7

This past week has been a good one overall being the first week of the transfer that is.

May 2, 2017: We did service for Hermano B, then we played taxi for most of the day for the Ashcroft Elders as there bike was broken. They had us attend one of their lessons which was really good and fun. Then that took up the day.

Spiritual: Helping others brings blessings 

May 3, 2017: We had District meeting which was great as normal, following that we had a lesson with a guy named Alfredo who is strong in his Catholic beliefs but very open to learning about ours which was neat. Then we went and read from the Book of Mormon with some recent converts which was also good.

Spiritual: Being open to other beliefs can help you grow more.

May 4, 2017: We did service at a mentally disabled children's horse facility which was good. Then we went and did studies me finding to limited success before we went and visited a less active family which was good as they invited a friend to our lesson

Spiritual: Always be willing to learn more and you will gain so much more.

May 5, 2017: We did service in Kersey with the Ashcroft Elders and the Hermanas which was really good and fun. Then we started weekly planning but were unable to complete as we got busy with finding which was okay. Then we had sports night which was fun as normal.

Spiritual: When ye are in the service of your fellow man ye are only in the service of your God.

May 6, 2017: We did service for Hermano B which was alright but caused us to not do any studies that day. We then had a number of lessons which were not very successful. Then we went and picked up the Chavez's and took them to a lesson which was good. Then we dropped them off and got Hermano Band took him to two lessons which were good as well.

Spiritual: Member present lessons are always good.

May 7, 2017:  We had church which was great as normal, then we had Correlation meeting which was also really good as Miguel promised to help us out more. Then we took him to a few potential lessons which did not take place but we were not able to contact any of those people but we were able to talk to the neighbor of one of them which was also good.

Spiritual: The sabbath truly is a delight

May 8, 2017: We have been playing taxi most of the day and then there was a freak storm which was really weird. 

Spiritual: Nature is always beautiful and amazing 

Rain and hail the size of marbles

Last week of transfer # 6

This week has been good for a last week of the transfer.

April 25, 2017: We did quite a bit of service shopping wood for a family in the branch which was fun overall. After that we did our studies which was also good. Then we had a short lesson with Jose Lopez before we went and met with Mauricio where we also had a decent lesson. 

Spiritual: Service is good for the soul.

April 26, 2017: We had District Meeting which Sister McMurray attended which was cool. Then we moved into a new apartment which took up most of the rest of the day outside of dinner.

Spiritual: Change is good.

April 27, 2017: We continued organizing stuff from the move which took a lot of that day as well. We then did some finding which was alright but not very effective.

Spiritual: The Lord's house is a house of Order.

April 28, 2017: We did service at GRC which was good and fun. Then we did planning and studies which were good. Then we went to dinner before we were supposed to meet with the APs but that sadly did not happen.

Spiritual: Planning for the next week is always good.

April 29,2017: We finished weekly planning and also visited some people dropping most of them. We had a good short lesson with the Sarabias which was cool. Then we waited for transfer news.

Spiritual: When people are dragging you down do not hang onto them let them go. If they truly want what you have they will come to you.

April 30, 2017: We were called about an hour before church and I was asked to prepare a talk for sacrament meeting in the hour before church. That was super stressful but I managed to do it I believe. We did more potentials contacting and dropped some more which is always fun.

Spiritual: The lord will bless you as you do his will.

May 1, 2017: We spent a good part of the day with the Ashcroft Elders which is always fun. Then we went and played Laser tag as a District which was awesome. 

Spiritual: Doing things with friends always lifts your spirits.
