Wow I cannot believe I have been in the field for "six" months. It had truly flown by.
So this week was my last week in Fort Morgan and with Elder H and due to the fact it was transfer week not a great deal was done but still here is the week.
January 31, 2017: We got a new old car from the zone leaders who were an hour late but the new car is nice luckily. Then we helped at the Humane Society which was good. Following that we basically spent the rest of the night punching in the last of the paper area book information.
Spiritual: While you might get impatient the wait is worth it most of the time.
February 1, 2017: We had a good lunch with the M before we headed up to Yuma for district meeting. On the way there Elder H got a speeding ticket which was an interesting event. Following that we headed to district meeting and shortly after getting in were told we needed to park our cars due to the freezing rain making roads dangerous. However we could not so we let the leaders know and so it was interesting. After we got back the Morgan we had dinner with Patty L which was awesome. Then we went and parked our car.
Spiritual: While things may be difficult to understand know that it is the lord's will at all times.
February 2, 2017: We spent the majority of the morning not doing much because of no drive day. Once we did go out we had time for Elder H to pay his ticket before dinner. After dinner we went and visited with the McLeish family which was great.
Spiritual: while roads may be slick, obey the voice of leaders and be safe.
February 3, 2017: We did weekly planning most of the day before dinner which was great. After dinner we tried a few people but did not have any success which was annoying but okay.
Spiritual: Plan and you will find greater joy in life.
February 4, 2017: We helped at the Humane society which was fun. We also got a recliner from the Edges which is great. After the service we had dinner and a good discussion with the C before we tried a number of people also with no success. After that we went to the church to await transfer news where I found out I am going to the Greeley Spanish branch and Elder H is staying in Fort Morgan with a Spanish elder who has been until now for three Transfers English. So that will be interesting for him.
Spiritual: Plenty of people want to help with things if you let them know about them.
February 5, 2017: We had church which was good. We then had a chance to talk with Bishop B about some things. We then went and visited P for awhile. After that we had dinner before we had a lesson with A, F and P
God be with you till we meet again
I asked Joshua if he was excited to be going to a new area since this is his first transfer he has been in Fort Morgan for 6 months.
he said he had mixed emotions, he has really loved serving in Fort Morgan and loves the people who he has come to love. A lady offered to make him his favorite cookies. Since we were moving and everything in boxes I contacted his former SS teacher Sister Hughes and she sent me her awesome Chocolate Chip cookie recipe. He was very thankful for that.
