Week 1 in Yuma

This week was weird but that was alright and kinda expected as it was
in a new area.

January 10,2018: Was transfer day and that took up most of the day.
Once arriving in Windsor we waited for almost two hours before the
trailer finally arrived which was so much fun. Then once the trailer
finally arrived we got my stuff and then headed to Yuma, stopping by
the Fort Morgan Elder’s place for a bit to give them some stuff
Spiritual:Change is good.

January 11, 20178: We did some service, had district meeting, and did
a small bit of contacting to limited success but that was alright. Not
too much else happened.
Spiritual: Service is always a blessing

January 12, 2018: We did weekly planning which was basically just
trying to figure out our area book as it is full of investigators most
of whom we know next to nothing about.
Spiritual: Organisation is important in all aspects of life.

January 13, 2018: We did a lot of contacting trying to get through our
potential Investigator lists, which we are not nearly done with, and
that was fun and took up much of the day. In the evening we went to a
baptism of a youth in the branch which was also really good
Spiritual: Contacting is important to getting to know people

January 14, 2018: We had church which was great. We were able to bless
the sacrament which was awesome. I had been asked to prepare a talk
but then was asked to just give a brief introduction and bear my
testimony so the other speaker, who had just gotten home from her
mission, could give her talk which took almost an hour and was
awesome. Aside from that we met with a family of other investigators
who told us they are no longer interested in our message.
Spiritual: Preparation brings blessings

January 15, 2018: We did a lot of contacting over text and a bit in
person to almost no success sadly.
Spiritual: Hard work is important

January 16, 2017:We are not doing much, but this evening we are going
to try a progressing investigator family who have been out of town
until yesterday to see if we could meet with them again this week.
Spiritual: It’s good to have some R&R from time to time

I asked Joshua if he missed the city life since all that he has pretty much been in since he has been on his mission are small towns and he said no. He likes the smaller communities.

I also asked him how the weather was and he said it has not been too bad, he does not mind the cold at all.
